This is a 10 Days unforgettable safari experience around Uganda in East Africa. This is a nation that was visited by the one-time British Prime Minister Winston Churchill who called it “the pearl of Africa”. You can’t wait to have a description after visiting the different attractions in 10 days. Guided By an experienced driver guide; Lunch, dinner and breakfast will come on time, and security is assured in all the destination to be visited.
You will visit the Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary; Murchison Falls National park for game drive and boat cruise to the bottom of the world’s most powerful water; Kibale forest national park for chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk; Queen Elizabeth national park for Game drive, Boat cruise, chimp trekking and tree climbing Lion; Gorilla trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National park; and walking Safari in Lake Mburo National park. The Big 5 cats awaiting you in Uganda include; lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, elephants, and Rhinos. Pick-Up and drop-off will be at Entebbe International airport.
Detailed Trip
Day 1: Arrival And Transfer To Your Hotel In Entebbe
Today, our safari Guide will meet and greet you at Entebbe international airport; taking you through the welcome briefing on your stay in the country, and the trip details. There will be a transfer to your hotel in Entebbe for refreshment, and a nap. Entebbe has several places you can hangout besides the hotel in case you arrive early. You may visit the Beach at Botanical Gardens, or test your courage at the reptile Village.
Day 2: Travel To The Top Of Murchison Falls Np Via Ziwa Sanctuary For Rhino Trekking On Foot
After breakfast, you will travel to Murchison Fall national park, with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a one hour Rhino trekking. These are the only surviving Rhinos in the country, with the tracking only done here on foot. They belong to the Big 5 family, and feed on vegetable. The guide will teach you some facts about these animals. Afterword’s you will proceed to Masindi town for Lunch, and thereafter to your lodge in the park in the evening for refreshment, dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive For African Big 5 Search In The Northern Murchison Fall Np And Afternoon Boat Cruise To The Base Of The Fall
Start the day with a cup of coffee to gear your spirit to the members of Big 5 that will come your way in the northern part of largest and oldest national park in the country; Murchison falls national park. For 3-4 hours; you will be in a 4WD in the wild, looking out to the different members of the Big5 cats of Africa, namely the lions, leopards, Buffaloes, and elephants. They are called the Big 5 because of how fierce they are, and the fact that they aren’t easily hunted down. Other animals, birds and plants to lookout for include; the baboons, crested cranes, warthogs, giraffes, Uganda Kobs, Oribis, crested cranes, geenefowls, and more. On a lucky day, you may encounter a kill, a hunt and more.
After the game drive, you will have a Lunch break, followed by an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the world’s most powerful waterfall, Murchison Fall National park. In this 2-3 hour experience, you enjoy a sail on the Nile, watch among others the Hippos and Nile crocodiles, and in a distance experience the powerful waterfall squeeze through a 7mtr gorge to the Nile. After the photo moments, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive For African Big 5 And Transfer To The Edges Of Kibale Forest National Park
Wakeup to a bright morning for a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, and thereafter go with high hopes of seeing members of the big5 family which include; the elephants, leopards, Buffaloes, and lions in the northern part of the park. Besides the elephants and Buffalos, encountering the lions, and leopards calls for Luck. More to the list to tick off include; different antelope species; giraffes, warthogs, the baboons, trees like the whistling acacia; birds like the crested cranes, and more. The session takes about 3-4 hours, with time to take photos, and listen to explanations by the guide.
You will then have a Lunch break, and then hit the road on a 7-8 hour scenic drive to the edge of Kibale forest national park; the primate capital of Africa. End this day with dinner and a peaceful nap at the lodge.
Day5: Chimpanzee Trekking In Kibale Forest National Park And Bigodi Forest Walk. Drive To Queen Elizabeth National Park For Overnight Stay
At sunrise, you will greet your intestines with a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge. Thereafter, Transfer to the park headquarters for a pretrekking briefing, where the ranger guide will verify your documents, and accompany you a 1-4 hour chimpanzee trekking. In this forest, there are other 12 species of primates which you may encounter, notably; the Vervet Moneys, olive baboons, white and black Columbus monkeys, grey checked monkeys and more. Chimpanzees are very cheerful and shy, and spend the best of their time, feeding, and playing. They use sticks as fork to trap ants, their fingers are more less those of humans, and they make over 25 unique sounds. You will have an hour with these apes, taking photos, and more before returning to the lodge for Lunch.
In the evening, you will go for nature walk at Bigodi forest, with lots of birds, primates such as the Baboons, and plants. Bigodi swamp is one of the major Ramsar sites in Uganda, and a community initiative. Bigodi swamp, you will hit the road to your lodge at Queen Elizabeth National. End this day with a late check-in at your lodge for refreshment, dinner and a nap.
Day 6: Game Drive And Boat Cruise On Kizinga Channel In Queen Elizabeth National Park
After having a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, you will go for a 3-4 hour game drive around the park. Lions, leopards, elephants, Buffaloes, different antelope species, hyenas, warthogs, and more, are a list to tick-off during the 3-4 hour game viewing. There are over 500 bird species in the park, trees, reptiles and primates you may encounter. You will pay attention to the Guides explanations as well as to the bush as no one is sure of where or when their sought after animal will appear. The grazers are dominant and can easily be seen, whereas spotting a kill, kid birth, or a fight is Luck.
Have a lunch break, and thereafter spend the afternoon at Kazinga channel on a boat cruise where you can get to sport among others; the school of hippos, and crocodiles. End this dinner with a sunset View, dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking In Kyambura Gorge And Relax At The Lodge
After breakfast, Chimpanzee trekking will be the first thing today. Transfer to the park headquarters for a 7:00am pretrekking briefing by the ranger guide. You will be taken through the trekking dos and don’ts, and accompanied to the Jungle for a 1-4 hour trekking in the underground forest. Taken up by the beauty of the scenery, the eyes and ears will be alert to your cousins the chimps, identifying the different primates co-existing here. You have an hour to watch the chimps feed, play, and make the different sounds as communication. Chimpanzee genes have over 95% resemblance to human gene resemblance. Researchers reveal that Man has a common ancestry with these Apes, and the wisdom demonstrated by the Apes will make you believe.
After chimpanzee trekking, you will have Lunch break, and thereafter, spend the evening relaxed at the Lodge. This day ends with dinner and a sweet slumber at your cozy bedding.
Day 8: Explore Ishasha Sector And Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wakeup to a bright morning with a glass of coffee. Afterword’s, there will be a game drive in the Ishasha sector, with hopes of having an up-close view of the King of the Jungle Up-close. The tree climbing lions are a rare lion’s species, and live here. On a lucky day, you will spot them lazily lying at the tree branches, with eyes closed or open with hopes of sighting a meal. You will spend about 2-3 hours having a search for these and other residents of the area, and thereafter go have Lunch around the sector.
Afterword’s, proceed with the drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park, where the forest will welcome you. You will proceed to your lodge for check-in, refreshment, dinner and a sweet slumber. Bwindi is home to the largest concentration of Mountain Gorillas in the world.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi And Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park
Wake up ignited with a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge and thereafter go to the park headquarters for a pretrekking briefing. There you will Join other primate lovers, do document verification, and list to the trekking dos and don’ts. After the 30 minute briefing, the ranger guide will assign a Gorilla family to trek, and thereafter, guide to the forest, first visiting the place they were last spotted while paying attention to the Jungle sound, and foot marks. While having the forest walk, you may encounter some birds, primates, and forest mammals. The ranger guide will also help you identify and learn about the different plants, there medicinal value and importance. Depending on how far the Apes have moved, the trekking session will last for approximately 1-8 hours, plus an additional hour for photography, and studies. If the session takes long, Lunch will be served in the forest.
After an encounter with your cousins, you will return to the lodge to check-out and transfer to Lake Mburo National park. This is a journey of about 4-5 hours, with stunning views of the landscape, sunset, mountains, and green vegetation cover. End the day with dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day 10: Morning Walking Safari In Lake Mburo National Park And Transfer To Entebbe National Park
Wake up to a mouth-watering breakfast meal at the lodge and then embark on a walking safari around the designated areas of the park. Sure of the safety, the guide will be showing and explaining facts about the different plants, animals, waters, primates and more you will get to spot. This is the only wildlife destination you can walk and see animals on foot without fear of an attack. The majority of animals here are grazers, and include; the Buffaloes, zebras, gazelles, Impalas, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, Oribis, Jackson hartebeests, and more. Other attractions include the birds, plants and the eye-catching landscape. The walk will lasts for about three hours, and then you will return to the lodge to have early lunch, and check-out for a 3-4 hour drive to Entebbe international airport, with the stunning views of the lush vegetation and busy towns. We will have a thank you wave at the airport to make the end of the vacation.
