Day 1: Arrival to Entebbe airport and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe
Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by our staff or your designated driver guide and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe, and relax from your long flight as you get prepared for your upcoming adventure on the country side. This is the start of your 20 days Uganda and Tanzania Adventure You will have an overnight at Via Via Guest House
Day 2: Transfer from Entebbe Lake Mburo National Park- Game drives in Lake Mburo National Park
After having an early breakfast from Airport Link Guest House, you will be picked up and drive to south west of Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. Enter this savanna grassland and woodland national park with a game drive in the mid-morning and be blessed with sights of Elands, Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elands, Cape Buffalos and many tropical bird species. You will have lunch at the lodge. Besides mammals in Lake Mburo, you will be blessed with watching birds like pelicans, heron, cranes, cormorant, fish eagle, common and green buls among others. You will have your dinner and overnight at Rwakobo Rock Lodge
Day 3: Morning walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park-Ishasha
After having an early breakfast, go for a morning safari walk in Lake Mburo national park. This Park is famous for walks inside and around the park on foot where you can see long horned cattle of Ankole community which can mix freely with Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elands, Cape Buffalos and many tropical bird species. Checkout of Lake Mburo national park and embark on a road trip to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. You will have lunch en route or at the lodge depending on time. Upon reaching Ishasha, you will check in at the lodge for refreshment and relax at the lodge for a while with stunning views. You will have dinner and overnight at Topi Lodge
Day 4: Game drive in Ishasha sector to search for tree climbing Lions and transfer to Northern Queen Elizabeth national Park
Have an early breakfast and check out of your lodge and head to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The sector is small but has a bountiful of wildlife and is famous for the tree climbing lions. You will a game drive to try your luck of getting a glimpse of some of these lions as they lazily rest in the fig trees. After the drive have lunch at Topi Lodge and continue northwards to Kyambura sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and Overnight at Elephant Hab Lodge
Day 5: Morning game drive in Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
You have an early morning breakfast and then go for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Anticipate to see members of the famous big five including Buffalos, Elephants, Lions and other mammals like Wart hog, Bush bucks, Uganda Kobs, Hyenas and water bucks among others. In the afternoon hours you will participate in a launch cruise along Kazinga channel. You will appreciate the high scores of Elephants, and the highest concentration of Hippos, Buffalos and crocodiles. A number of bird species will also be seen along including the Great Pelicans. You will have dinner and overnight still at Elephant Hab Lodge
Day 6: Early morning Lion/Carnivores Experiential Tour in Queen Elizabeth Park and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After having your breakfast, check out and proceed for Lion tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park which involves following an individual or group of lions in order to learn more about their behavior, feeding habits and social/group dynamics. To take part in the Lion tracking experience, one needs to book in advance. During lion tracking, the driver can drive off the main road and deep into the savannah depending on the location of the lions. Once the team is close to the lions, the driver switches off the engine to avoid chasing away the cats. If you are lucky might witness the researcher collecting DNA, blood, urine, saliva, ticks and other samples from the lions. Dinner and overnight at Isunga Safari Lodge
Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast head to Kibale Forest. The activity begins at 8.00 am with a briefing of the rule for trekking the chimpanzees after which you set off to search for them in the forest. Kibale Forest National Park, it boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees. Approximately 5,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Uganda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them! An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning. You will have a relaxed evening, and later dinner and overnight at Isunga Safari Lodge
Day 8: Bigodi Swamp Walk in Kibale and transfer to Entebbe
After having breakfast, you will be taken for Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk which is a guided swamp walk that takes you closer seeing primates mostly monkeys, birds and butterflies. The wetland is a bird paradise with about 138 species and is best known for being home to the Great Blue Turaco. You will meet some of the primates here, even a chimpanzee at times. Other primate species include the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked Mangabey, red-tailed, l’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Also, Bushbucks and mongooses and many more can also be found here. You will later transfer to Entebbe, with lunch at Isunga or along the way. Dinner and overnight will be at Via Via Guest House
Day 9: Transfer to Entebbe international airport for your regional flight to Arusha in Tanzania
After having breakfast or lunch depending on your scheduled flight, you will be transferred back to Entebbe to readily check in and board your flight to Tanzania as you say farewell to Uganda, the pearl of Africa! You will spend and overnight at Kibo Palace Hotel
Day 10: Arusha City – Tarangire National Park
Pick up from your hotel at Arusha at around 06:30 am and drive to Tarangire National Parks for Full day game drive. Here, you will have to carry with you a lunch box and 1.5 ltrs of bottled mineral water as you will have a pick nick lunch within the National Park. Tarangire National Parks is famous of having the largest number of elephants which are said to be its home in Northern Tanzania. It is also noted for its splendid baobab trees, rolling savannah and acacia woodland.
Day 11: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park
Pick up from the Lodge at 07:00 am and drive to Lake Manyara National Park again for a full day Game drive. Lake Manyara is well known and it is famous for its tree climbing lion and in spotting wildlife it won’t let you down. The Park is a corridor for the great migration of huge herds of mammals towards the north and the south. Flamingos dot the lake surface joined by myriad other water birds that are the best spotted at the end of the dry season. Lion, Spotted hyena, serval, cracal, leopard and cheetah are more prolific in other parks, keeping an eye out will reap High rewards here. An overnight will be spent at the Kigongoni campsite
Day 12: Lake Manyara National Park-Hadzabe Cultural Tour – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast drive to Hadzabe society in Lake Eyasi. Cultural dancing, hunting and way of living with the Hadzabe people. Later on, en-route game drive to Serengeti National Park, crossing over Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The vast Serengeti plains are home to a huge variety of animals and bird species. Game viewing, en-route to Serengeti National Park. You will spend an overnight at Into the Wild Camp/ Migration Camp
Day 13 & 14: Serengeti National Park and Great Migration
After breakfast, these days this safari package will be spent taking game drives in Serengeti National Park, here, we target to give you a lifetime exposure and memorable safari ever thought as you can spend even more days without repetition of the same places and adventures. Spotting of wild animals of different species is not limited except time. Serengeti offers arguably the most dazzling game viewing in Africa as being surrounded by millions of wildebeests, Zebra and gazelle is a phenomenon you will never forget.
Note: The route and timing of the wildebeest migration is unpredictable. We advise our clients to at least spent three days at least to be assured of seeing them on the visit and extend the stay if you would like to see the main predators as well. You will spend overnights at Into the Wild Camp
Day 15: Serengeti National Park –Ngorongoro Crater
After early breakfast, we drive to Ngorongoro conservation Area for overnight. Game viewing and picnic lunch en-route to Ngorongoro Crater, stop by at Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp for dinner and overnight. Ngorongoro crater is one of the true wonders of nature and in fact it is said to be the eighth natural wonder in the world. It is also the home and the prime areas to observe the endangered Black rhino and black manned Lions, Elephants, hippopotamus and many other species. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Tortilis Campsite/ Migration Camp
Day 16: Ngorongoro Crater drive and transfer to Arusha.
After breakfast at 8:00 am, we drive to Ngorongoro crater for game viewing with your lunch boxes. Here you will see a lot of wild animals like black rhinos, Lions, flock of flamingos feeding at Lake Magadi, Late afternoon you will enjoy en route game drive back to Arusha for drop off. You will spend an overnight at Kibo Palace Hotel
Day 17: Domestic flight to Msembe Airstrip in Ruaha National Park and afternoon game drive
After your breakfast, you will connect with a domestic flight to Ruaha. Enjoy on landing game drive at Ruaha National park with picnic lunches. Arrive for full day game drive later you will drive to the cottage for hot lunch. Continue with afternoon game drive. Enjoy your game drive until sunset. Ruaha National Park is famous for its herds of elephant and buffaloes. The Ruaha River, which plays an important role in the ecosystem of the park, provides sanctuary to a large number of hippos and crocodiles. You will have dinner and overnight at Ikuka Safari Camp
Day 18: Full day Game drive in Ruaha National Park
Wake up for early morning game drive which will take about two hours then drive back at the cottage for breakfast. After breakfast you will proceed with full day game drive to explore the beautiful of the park, with its full of rocky, kopjes and ancient baobab trees. Late evening you will drive back to the bandas for dinner and overnight. A fine network of game-viewing roads follows the Great Ruaha and its seasonal tributaries, where, during the dry season, impala, waterbuck and other antelopes risk their life for a sip of life-sustaining water. This impressive array of large predators is boosted by both striped and spotted hyena, as well as several conspicuous packs of the highly endangered African wild dog. You will have dinner and overnight at Ikuka Safari Camp
Day 19: Half Day Game drive and domestic flight to Dar es Salam
After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a half day game drive. You will have a game drive to explore the beautiful of the park, with its full of rocky, kopjes and ancient baobab trees. Today you will have time to visit hippo and crocodile pool. Later have a domestic flight to Dar es Salam. You will spend an overnight at Slipway Hotel
Day 20: Transfer to Dar es Salam international airport for your return flight
After having breakfast or lunch depending on your scheduled flight, you will be transferred back to Adar es Salam to readily check in and board your flight back home as you say fare well to the Tanzania Wilderness safaris!
