Safari Overview
This is a trip to two of Africa’s top safari destinations; Uganda the pearl of Africa, and Tanzania; the land of Serengeti, Kilimanjaro, and Ngorongoro in East Africa. In Uganda; you will trek the endangered mountain Gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park; walking safari and game drive in Lake Mburo national park; Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest, game drive, boat cruise and lion tracking in Queen Elizabeth National park.
In Tanzania; Arusha welcomes you, ushering to Tarangire national Park for game drive; cultural tours with the Hadzabe gatherers and hunter; game drive and wildebeest migration at Serengeti national park; game drive at Ngorongoro conservancy; and Zanzibar beach experience. Each day brings you something new, as you take photos, watch, learn a few local words, and eat local food. This safari starts at Entebbe international airport and ends in Arusha Tanzania.
Detailed Trip.
Day 1: Arrival to Entebbe Airport and Transfer to Your Hotel in Entebbe
Receive a warm welcome by our company driver guide at Entebbe international airport. After clearing with the immigration office, you will be briefed, and transferred to your hotel for check-in, refreshment, dinner and peaceful nap. The Waters you will see first is Lake Victoria; the largest freshwater lake in Africa. The day will be for rest, unless you arrive early morning, and a city tour can be arranged, or a beach experience.
Day2: Transfer from Entebbe to Lake Mburo NP-Game drive
Start this day with a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, and thereafter hit the road on a 4-5 hour scenic drive to Lake Mburo National park for an afternoon game drive. This game drive is with stunning views of the land scape, busy towns, greenery and dotted homesteads. You will get to the park and register in the afternoon hours. Afterwards, go for Lunch, and thereafter an evening game drive, to see among others the zebras, Uganda Kobs, elephants, Buffalos, waterbuck, warthogs, elands, and more, not forgetting the birds retiring to their safe nests. This day ends with dinner and a peaceful sweet slumber.
Day3: Morning Walking Safaris in Lake Mburo NP and Transfer to southern Uganda in Bwindi Np
Jam start your day with a cup of coffee, and a 2 hour walking safari that draws you closer to botany, birds, and animals. It is an early morning exercise, with eyes on the beautiful sunrise; the zebras, elephants, Buffalos, warthogs, and all that will come your way. After the experience, return to the lodge for check-out and hit the road to the southern part of Uganda; the home to world’s most powerful primates-the mountain Gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable National park. The route to the park is marked by lush plantations, busy towns, and rolling hills. After a 6-7 hour drive, you will get to the park, register and proceed to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day4: Gorilla trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
At 6:00 am, an energy giving breakfast meal will be served, after which with packed Lunch, trekking out fit and documents, you will transfer to the headquarters for a pretrekking briefing and registration. The session lasts for about thirty minutes, with the ranger guides explaining the trekking dos and don’ts, assign you to a gorilla family and accompany through the Jungle. Depending on your trekking speed and how far the Apes have moved, you will spend 1-8 hours in the search, first visiting the area they were last spotted while following the jungle sound, broken tree branches, and more. Deep in the forest, you will uncover unique plant species, birds, other primates and forest mammals. Bwindi hosts the largest concentration of mountain gorillas in the Virunga network.
Gorillas live in families, led by an alpha male with a silver-like lining at the back-a silverback. It is a magical moment spending an hour in the presence, while taking photos, asking questions, and watching the interactions. After an encounter with the Apes, you will have a Lunch break, and then hit the road to Queen Elizabeth national park; home to the tree climbing lions. It will be a sunset arrival at your lodge for check-in, dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day5: Morning Game drive in Northern Queen Elizabeth National park and Afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga channel
At 6:00 am, you will go for a sunrise game drive for 3-4 hours with hopes of encountering among others; the nocturnal and night hunters run to their hideout, as the grazer’s wakeup. The check-lists comprises of among others; the lions, hyenas, buffalos, hippos, several antelope species, birds such as the owls, crested cranes and more; the stunning landscape, beautiful sunrise, and more. You will learn a lot in regards to this savannah grassland, pray, and predators. Afterwards you will have bush breakfast, and lunch later.
After rest, spend the evening on a boat cruise at Kazinga channel, taking photos, taking in the cool breath, and watching the aquatic birds, and animals such as the school of hippos, and crocodiles. End this day with a beautiful sunset view, dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day6: Early morning lion Experiential Tour in Queen Elizabeth NP and Transfer to Kibale forest National Park
After breakfast, you will go for an early lion experiential tour in Queen Elizabeth National park. This is to uncover the life of the King of the jungle. Know how lions feed, mark territories, hunt, sleep, and roar. The guides locate the lions in study, so as you can have a one on one with the most fierce animal in the animal kingdom. But as you lookout for the lions, some more will come your way, notably the birds, primates and animals such as the elephants, Buffalos and more.
After lion trekking, you will have a Lunch break, and then embark on a 2-3 hour drive to Kibale forest national park, with the view of the mountain back drop, plantations, and more. This day ends with a happy welcome at the lodge, dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day7: Chimpanzee Trekking Bigodi swamp walk-Kibale forest Np
After breakfast, you will head-out to the park headquarters for a 30 minute chimpanzee pretrekking briefing, followed by 1-4 hour trekking exercise. Through the trees and bushes, you will lookout for your cousins that possess same fingers and over 98% DNA resembles. This jungle also harbors other 12 primate species, of which you might encounter during the search. There among others are; the vervet monkeys, greychecked monkeys, white and black Columbus monkeys, grey, blue monkeys and more. After finding these apes, you will spend one hour with the chimps, taking photos, taking a clear view of the apes, and ask the ranger guides for answers to the different questions.
After the trek, you will have a lunch break, and then an afternoon Bigodi swamp walk, where you will encounter among others; the baboons. Bigodi swamp is one of the Ramsar sites in Uganda, managed by the local’s natives. You will interact with the locals, watch birds, and primates and more. End this day with dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day8: Crater Lakes experience and Transfer to Entebbe
Kick-start your day with a cup of coffee and a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge. Afterwards, take a tour around the different crater lakes around town. You will get to love on nature, learn how crater lakes are formed, and take some of the most memorable photos ever imagined. The driver guide will take you through some of the plantations and natural sceneries leading to the craters. The natives will make the visit more species with unique offers and stories. Afterword have a lunch break, and then hit the road to Entebbe. 6-7 hours on road, with the view of the stunning landscape, plantations, and more. You will end this day with dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day9: Transfer to Entebbe international airport for your regional flight to Tanzania
After a sunrise breakfast meal at the lodge, you will hit the road to Entebbe international airport for your flight to Arusha Tanzania. The journey time is dependent on where the night was spent followed by your flight which lands safe at Arusha? Our company representative will then meet and greet you, after which transfer you to the hotel for check-in, dinner and a nap.
Day10: Arusha city-Tarangire National park Game drives in the Afternoon
This day starts with a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, and followed by a 2-4 hour drive to Tarangire national park. This is one of the most famous national parks in Tanzania, with a variety of flora and fauna. Arrival time will be in the afternoon hours, when you will go for check-in at the lodge, refresh, and have Lunch. In the cool evening; go for a 3-4 hour game drive, with hopes of watching a kill, birth, or a chase. The sighting List is long, however among the many will be the stunning view of the landscape, lake Tarangire, animals such as the warthogs, African elephants, cape Buffaloes, zebras, unique Antelope species, birds, plants, primates and more. Dinner and a peaceful nap marks the end of this day.
Day11: Tarangire National park-Lake Manyara National park game drives
Very early in the morning, Breakfast will be served, as you will check-out and hit the road on a scenic Journey to Lake Manyara; home to the rare tree climbing lions. This 6-7 hour Journey comes with a lunch stopover, and stunning view of endless stunning plains, lush plantations and busy towns. Arrive at the park in the evening hours, register, and then have a 3-4 hour sunset game drive, to the different corners of the park, as you see the grazers retire, while the nocturnal animals take advantage of the darkness. Chance the sight and sound of among others; the lions, leopards, owl, hippos, warthogs, Buffalos, elephants, hyenas, and more. You will uncover how the wild animals sleep, and what happens in the wilderness. Drive to your lodge for check-in, dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day12: Hadzabe Cultural Tour to Serengeti National park
Start this day with a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge. Thereafter, a 4-5 hour cultural tour with the Hadzabe people. These are gatherers and hunters; one of the largest indigenous tribes in the northern part of Tanzania. They wonder while looking for game, wild berries, and tubers as their survival is dependent on natural resources. You will be told stories, experience culture through songs and exhibitions. Afterwards, have a Lunch break, and then hit the road to Serengeti national park; one of the most popular national parks in Tanzania; and the wild at large. The road drive offers eye-catching views of the landscape, plants and water. Arrive, register, and retire to bed after refreshment and a mouthwatering breakfast meal.
Day13 &14: Serengeti National park and Great migration Safari
Each of the two days starts with a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge. One of the natural phenomenon in the world; the annual wildebeest’s migration which is world’s largest land animal movement. There are over 2million wildebeest, thousands of zebras, elands and more. It is a movement in search for water and fresh pasture. The migrants have to face barriers such as the Mara River invested with hippos and crocodiles to cross to the greener pasture. The days highlight is in watching the migration confusion, wilderness sounds, and several other residents. Lunches will be served in the wild, as the day ends at sunset with you returning to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day15: Serengeti National Park-Ngorongoro crater
Wakeup for a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, and checkout with a scenery view as you exit the Serengeti plains to the Ngorongoro crater. All the way to Ngorongoro conservancy is with eye-catching landscape, lush plantations and African homesteads. With a view of endless stories from your driver guide, you will drive to you lodge for check-in. Have Lunch, and spend the evening relaxed at the facility. Dinner and overnight to ends the day.
Day16: Full day in Ngorongoro crater
Start your day with a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge. Thereafter you will have a tour around the open Ngorongoro crater; exploring the stunning landscape, caldera, waters and the plants. Get to chance a site of the big 5 cats namely; the lions, leopards, cape Buffaloes, African elephants, Rhinoceros; the others are the wildebeests, zebras, cheetah, hyenas, giraffes, jackals, African civets, elands, and more. There are over 500 bird species living here with one those you will be hoping to site being the flamingo. The whole day will be spent in the wild with bush breakfast, and picnic Lunch. At sunset, drive back to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and an overnight.
Day17: Drive to Arusha-Fly to Zanzibar in the Afternoon
Start your day with a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, check-out and hit the road to Arusha city for your afternoon flight to Zanzibar. It is an amazing drive, with the stunning views of the landscape, dotted homesteads, and busy towns. You will have lunch around town, and thereafter hit the Tanzanian skies to Zanzibar Island. Zanzibar is famous for spice plantations and the slave trade History. You will want to love on the aerial view of the landscape during the flight. Upon landing at the archipelago, you will be welcomed by our company representative, who will brief and transfer you to the hotel for check-in, refreshment, dinner and a sweet slumber.
Day18-20: Explore the serene beaches of Zanzibar
Each of the mornings starts with a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, and thereafter a day spent in the serene white sand beaches, where you will rest by the calm waters, swim, do water spots, enjoy photo moments, taste of sea foods, and lots more. The white sand beaches area arraigned by the shores of the open Indian Ocean. They are a true paradise of rest and fun. These are some of the best beaches in the continent of Africa. Your days end great with dinner and a peaceful nap.
Day20: Departure, end of safari
Wakeup to a tasty cup coffee and say good bye to your host when checking out of the lodge. Thereafter, you will fly to Arusha where our company representative will meet and bid you fare well. Around Arusha, you can do some shopping.
